How do I prevent damage to my Bauerfeind compression garments?Updated an hour ago

Bauerfeind compression garments are made with specialised knitted fibres designed to provide targeted compression and support.

To help protect the fabric from avoidable damage:

  • Keep fingernails and toenails smooth to prevent catching or tearing the material.

  • Remove rings, bracelets and sharp jewellery before putting on or removing your garment.

  • Avoid sharp objects and rough surfaces that may snag the knitted fabric.

  • Handle the fabric gently, without pulling forcefully or overstretching.

  • Check footwear for rough interiors or areas that may cause excessive friction.

  • Consider using donning gloves when applying medical compression stockings.

Small snags or pulled threads can develop into larger holes or tears with continued wear.

Taking care during application, removal and everyday use helps protect the garment's fabric and maintain its compression performance.
