Regular washing helps maintain the compression, elasticity, comfort and performance of your Bauerfeind product.
Washing your brace or support
Most Bauerfeind knitted braces and supports are machine washable.
For best results:
Machine wash at 30°C or under on a gentle cycle.
Use a mild laundry detergent without fabric softener.
Secure Velcro fastenings and use a mesh laundry bag.
Remove any detachable rigid frames before machine washing. Soft components, including straps and padding, can generally be washed.
Braces with non-removable rigid frames should be cleaned according to their product-specific care instructions rather than machine washed.
Drying your product
Lay your product flat and allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid tumble dryers and direct heat, as these may affect the fabric's compression and elasticity.
After water activities
If you've worn your brace in a swimming pool, the ocean or other water, rinse the entire product, thoroughly with fresh water to remove chlorine, salt and other residues.
Always follow your product's care label and Instructions for Use (IFU) for specific cleaning requirements.
