Your Bauerfeind brace or support should feel snug, secure and supportive without causing excessive pressure or discomfort.
Depending on the product, you may feel gentle to firm compression around the supported area. This is normal and helps the product remain positioned correctly.
What should a good fit feel like?
Snug and secure: Your product should sit comfortably against your body without feeling loose.
Even compression: Pressure should feel relatively consistent, without excessive tightness in one area.
Comfortable movement: You should be able to move within the range permitted by your product.
Stable positioning: Your brace should remain reasonably secure during normal movement.
What if it feels too tight?
Your brace should not cause numbness, tingling, increasing pain, significant skin indentation or changes in skin colour.
If you experience these symptoms, remove or loosen the product as appropriate and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
