How does Bauerfeind assess a reported manufacturing defect?Updated 11 hours ago
Every warranty claim is reviewed individually to understand the reported issue and determine whether it may be associated with a manufacturing defect.
Our assessment may include:
Product condition: Reviewing photographs and information about the reported issue.
Manufacturing information: Using the product's LOT number to identify its manufacturing batch.
Quality assurance records: Reviewing relevant global manufacturing information, including any available reports of similar concerns.
Product use and care: Considering the product's age, usage history and recommended care instructions.
These findings are considered together when determining the outcome of a claim. The absence of similar reports within a manufacturing batch does not, by itself, determine whether an individual product is faulty.
Our assessments also take into account applicable consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
