What’s the difference between returning an online purchase and an in-store purchase?Updated 3 days ago

The return process is different depending on whether your item was purchased online or in-store. Understanding the correct pathway ensures your return is processed smoothly and without delays.

Returning an online purchase

Online orders must be returned through the Bauerfeind Online Returns Portal: AU Returns Portal

What you can receive

  • Refund to your original payment method

  • Store credit (emailed once approved)

Important notes

  • Online orders cannot be refunded in-store.

  • Return shipping is handled through a Bauerfeind-issued prepaid label, and the fee is deducted from your refund or store credit.

  • All standard return eligibility criteria apply.

Returning an in-store purchase

In-store purchases follow a different process.

For a refund

  • Refunds for in-store purchases must be completed at the same Bauerfeind store where you made the purchase.

  • Refunds for in-store items cannot be processed online.

For a store credit

  • If you prefer, you may return your in-store purchase through the AU Returns Portal, and a store credit will be issued once approved.

  • Store credit is emailed and can be used online.

Items not eligible for return (online or in-store)

  • Compression socks/stockings

  • Insoles

  • Custom products

  • Special orders

  • Sale and clearance items (final sale)
