How does Bauerfeind determine whether a product is covered under warranty?Updated 3 days ago

Every warranty claim is assessed individually to determine whether the reported issue is the result of a manufacturing defect.

As part of our assessment, we review the information provided, inspect the condition of the product and verify the product's LOT number. The LOT number allows us to identify the product's manufacturing batch and review relevant quality assurance records associated with that production batch.

Our assessment may also consider:

  • The reported issue.
  • The condition of the product.
  • Product photographs and supporting information.
  • The product's age and expected use.
  • Compliance with the product's Instructions for Use (IFU).
  • Findings from our quality assurance process.

This assessment helps us determine whether the reported issue is the result of a manufacturing defect or another cause, such as normal wear and tear, accidental damage or misuse.

Each warranty claim is considered on its own merits, and the outcome is determined based on the available evidence.
